Crafts and Classics Club
Event Details:
In the spirit of a classic quilting bee, we will be designing and sewing our own applique quilt squares. Learn how to select your fabric, cut out your shapes, and put it all together with hand stitching. Each square will form a piece of a Crafts and Classics Club quilt.
As you create your quilt square, settle in for a cozy read aloud of Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt. Each week we will join 10 year old Winnie in this 1975 classic as she learns more about the mysterious Tuck family and discovers the danger of getting stuck in time.
Location:
Lower level at The New York Historical, 170 Central Park West, New York, NY 10024
Please note that this is not a drop-off program—child participants must be accompanied by an adult.
Major support for Family Programs is provided the DiMenna Foundation. Additional generous support is from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council. Support for Little New-Yorkers and Story Time is given in honor of Peggy Gilder Tirschwell by Linda Schapiro.
