Little New-Yorkers: Giving Thanks: A Native American Good Morning Message
- Tuesday, November 25, 2025
- Free with Museum admission
- Ages: 3–6 years
Event Details:
This November we are celebrating Native American Heritage Month by reading some of our favorite stories by Indigenous authors and illustrators! This is a time of year for gratitude. In Giving Thanks, author and activist Chief Jake Swamp shares the way Mohawk families begin the day: celebrating Mother Earth. With illustrations by Erwin Printup Jr., thanks is given to blue water, good food, the sun and the moon. After the story, we’ll work together to make a group mural of thankfulness for the Earth!
Join us every Tuesday and Friday at the Museum for story time and crafts! Each class includes a special hello song, silly dances and games, a story book reading, and a craft to do after the story.
Location:
Lower level at The New York Historical, 170 Central Park West, New York, NY 10024
Please contact familyprograms@nyhistory.org with any questions.
