Little New-Yorkers: Go Show the World: A Celebration of Indigenous Heroes
Event Details:
Our books this month are inspired by The Historical’s new House of Made Dawn exhibition, featuring 150 years of art by Indigenous people! “We are people who matter, yes, it's true; now let's show the world what people who matter can do.” These are the words of musician, politician, and author Wab Kinew in Go Show the World, a book, with illustrations by Joe Morse, spotlighting Indigenous heroes throughout history. After the story, make a craft to share the ways these heroes encourage you!
Join us every Tuesday and Friday at the Museum for story time and crafts! Each class includes a special hello song, silly dances and games, a story book reading, and a craft to do after the story.
Location:
Lower level at The New York Historical, 170 Central Park West, New York, NY 10024
