Sunday Story Time: Sybil’s Night Ride
Event Details:
Today we are celebrating The Historical’s new Revolutionary Women exhibition with stories of women who left their mark on the American Revolution. Today we’ll meet 16-year-old hero Sybil Ludington in Sybil’s Night Ride, written and illustrated by Karen B. Winnick. On April 26, 1777, Sybil bravely hopped on her horse’s back to warn patriot soldiers of approaching British troops! After the story, make your own horse craft inspired by Sybil’s adventure!
Join us every Sunday in person at the Museum for story time and crafts! Each class includes a special hello song, silly dances and games, a story book reading, and a craft to do after the story.
Location:
Lower level at The New York Historical, 170 Central Park West, New York, NY 10024
