The Queen and Her Presidents: The Hidden Hand That Shaped History

Event Details:
Over the course of her 70 years on the throne, Queen Elizabeth II met and worked with thirteen American presidents—more than any other American or foreign leader. Join journalist Susan Page, in conversation with Lesley Stahl, to learn how, over nearly three quarters of a century, Queen Elizabeth collaborated with presidents from Truman to Trump, exerting political influence and growing from a shy young princess to a queen who came to define the modern British monarchy.
Susan Page is the Washington Bureau chief of USA Today and author, most recently, of The Queen and Her Presidents: The Hidden Hand That Shaped History. Lesley Stahl (moderator) is a correspondent for 60 Minutes and a former CBS News White House correspondent.
Location:
The Robert H. Smith Auditorium at The New York Historical, 170 Central Park West, New York, NY 10024
