The White House Oval Office is an important symbol of the presidency and the center of presidential activity. It was first created in 1909 for William Howard Taft. In 1932, Franklin Roosevelt moved it to its current location.
New-York Historical's Oval Office replicates key elements of its appearance during Ronald Reagan's second term. Many of the objects inside are drawn from our collection.
